Not long ago we were shocked to learn that one of our favorite performers of all time, the man synonymous with the greatest dance craze in modern history --- The Twist--- IS NOT IN THE ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME!

Ernest Evans, aka Chubby Checker, isn't just a twister. If you have ever done the limbo at a party, chances are you were mangling your spinal cord to Chubby's huge hit "Limbo Rock"!

But most people know Chubby only because of The Twist and because of this they think of him as a one-hit wonder !

In fact, between 1959 and 1982 Chubby placed 34 songs in the BIllboard Hot 100! Seven of these went top 10! Not only did his version of The Twist hit #1 twice  (a chart feat never duplicated before or since in the rock era), his recording of Pony Time also reached #1.

This is a one-hit wonder?

Some say "... but Chubby didn't write his own songs..."

Neither did Elvis.

We rest our case.

We wrote Chubby's Twistin' in honor of Chubby Checker in an attempt to finally get him inducted into the hall (or permanently banished?).
